The through-line

Most of my work starts with the same question: what should exist here that doesn't yet?

I taught myself to code around age 10 and sold handmade beaded lanyards to my mother's coworkers at 12. By high school I was building websites for churches and small businesses. Twenty-five years later, the scale has changed. The instinct hasn't.

The work has moved through entrepreneurship, community building, brand strategy, media ownership, creative IP, and now human-centered systems. Each chapter has added another layer of capability instead of replacing the one before it.

“I'm less interested now in fitting ideas into existing categories than in building the one that's missing.”

What I build

Same method.
Different scale.

The medium changes. The underlying work doesn't: identify what is missing, clarify the structure, and turn complexity into something people can actually use.

What I keep asking in public.

Working with Kim

Thoughtful questions. Honest distinctions. Usable structure.

Kim is most useful when the opportunity is real, the moving pieces are numerous, and the obvious answer is not necessarily the right one.

01

Look beneath the request.

The requested page, campaign, dashboard, offer, or partnership may be part of the answer — but first, identify the friction it is meant to solve.

02

Protect important distinctions.

Not every audience, project, service, or idea belongs under the same message. Clarity often comes from defining what should remain separate.

03

Design for real capacity.

The system has to remain usable by the actual people responsible for it — including during busy, uncertain, or low-capacity periods.

04

Think beyond launch day.

The goal is not a brief moment of polish. It is an asset, system, or foundation that can keep supporting decisions and growth.

Start here

Something should exist here that doesn't yet?

That is usually where the interesting conversation begins.
